How do I activate a code on Cambridge One?

Activation codes give access to teacher or learner materials. They can only be activated on an account with the matching role (for example, student codes can only be activated on student accounts). Follow the steps for your role:

I'm a Learner
I'm a Parent
I'm a Teacher
I'm an Administrator

Please note: Codes can only be used once and cannot be transferred to another account. If you are part of a school, make sure to activate the code in the account associated with your school.

I'm a Learner:

• To activate a code for the first time
• To activate another code after already activating one
  
   

To activate a code for the first time

1. After creating your account, log in, and select Continue

2. Enter the 16 characters of your code (without the dashes), then select Activate

You’ll see confirmation of:

• Duration of your access
• The title you have activated
• The last day of your access.

Select Next

3. You’ll be asked if you are learning in a class or studying on your own. Select the option that better suits you, then Next.

Please note: You’ll need a class key if you're in a class. Your teacher will be able to give you this.
 

Tip: If you chose I'm learning on my own, you can still join a class later.

To activate another code

If you have already activated a code, select + Add materials at the top of your dashboard, then go to step 2 above and follow the instructions.

I'm a Parent:

If you skipped activating the learning materials when creating your child's account or if you want to activate more learning materials, follow these steps:
 

1. Log in to your parent account

2. Choose your child’s name

3. Then select +Add materials

4. Enter the 16 characters of your child's activation code, (without the dashes), and choose Activate
 

5. After you activate your child's code, you'll see confirmation of:

• Duration of your access
• The title you have activated
• The last day of your access.

Select Back to dashboard

Please note: To access the activated resources, your child will need to log in with their username and password.

I'm a Teacher:

1. On your dashboard, go to My library and select + Activate materials

2. Enter the 16 characters of your code (without the dashes), and select Activate

A new bookmark will be added under My bookmarks, which will list all your activated materials.

You can now access your materials from My library or under Materials on your class.

Tip: If the Teacher’s book does not include a code, please contact your English Sales Representative by selecting your location

I'm an Administrator:

Administrators can activate teaching materials only from the teacher dashboard.

Simply go to your Teacher dashboard by selecting Teacher from the slider on the top right corner, then follow the steps above.
